Janny(also known as Ching) loves Chinese Glazed Walnuts for years.  In my memory, the last time that I had it was when I was 8 years old.  I didn’t see it in the market for a long time until I went back to Hong Kong to visit my family in year 2004. 

I brought a pound back to the States and let my husband to try it.  He loved it.  So, I started to look for the similar kind of glazed walnuts in the United States for him.  Unfortunately, none of them came even close to the one that I bought.  Then, I started to make my own.  It took me a few times to make it perfect.  Of course, my husband loves it.

Then, I started to give it out to friends and family.  Everybody loves it.  Some even asked me for the recipe.  One day, my husband asked me, “What about selling these walnuts in the craft show?”  Then, I thought, “That’s a good idea.  I can even preserve this maybe-long-lost tradition.”  By working on the research and product development for a year, it finally was born.
